Wine Appreciation Course: A Journey Through Enological Culture

Cardo Experience

Embark on a fascinating journey into the world of wine, designed for both enthusiasts and beginners. Hosted at Hotel Cardo Roma in collaboration with Decanter Wine Academy and Vino in Fieri, the course features 4 theoretical and practical lessons (every Monday from October 5th to 26th, starting at 7:00 PM), concluding with an exclusive winery visit on Saturday, November 7th.

Course Schedule:

  • Lesson 1 (October 5): From vineyard to glass – Grape varieties, harvest, vinification, and main wine styles.

  • Lesson 2 (October 12): The art of tasting – Visual, olfactory, and taste analysis to master wine evaluation.

  • Lesson 3 (October 19): Italy's territories and grapes – Denominations, regions, and an overview of prime Italian wines.

  • Lesson 4 (October 26): Food and wine pairing – Essential rules to match wine with culinary flavors.

  • Grand Finale (November 7): Winery tour among vineyards, guided tasting, and issuance of the certificate of attendance.

Each session will be accompanied by tailored finger foods paired with the featured wines. Limited availability: maximum 30 participants.

  • Full course fee: €249 (Special rate €199 for Decanter or Vino in Fieri members; Single lesson €50).
