Slow down in Brussels: The Cardo style

Late winter in Brussels: explore & celebrate

As winter slowly draws to a close, bringing hints of longer days and renewed energy, it’s not just about crisp air and cosy moments, it’s also a time to explore and enjoy the city around us. From wandering through Brussels’ parks and sunny terraces to discovering the richness of museums, galleries, and exhibitions, this season invites both locals and travellers to reconnect with their surroundings.
Late February and early March are the perfect moment for a weekend in Brussels, whether it’s strolling along charming streets, or enjoying a cosy coffee break or a delicious cocktail at Doodles, a creative and welcoming spot to slow down and soak in the gentle rhythm of the season, or taking in the first hints of seasonal change across the city.

It’s also a meaningful time to honour special occasions, such as International Women’s Day on March 8th, celebrating and uplifting women everywhere, a reminder to embrace connection, awareness, and gratitude during this transitional season.

Before the arrival of a new season and the return of a faster pace, it’s the ideal moment to take time for yourself and recharge. Whether after a day exploring the city or simply to pause and reset, guests can unwind at the spa at Cardo Brussels, a serene retreat designed for relaxation, balance and wellbeing in the heart of the city.

Our March sessions will take place on 10 and 24 March, from 7:00 to 8:00 am, providing the perfect opportunity to stretch, breathe and welcome the day with intention, an ideal addition to a wellness getaway in Brussels or a restorative escape in the city.

Sustainable stay in Brussels: World Water Day at Cardo

The end of winter is not just about fresh air and longer days; it’s also a time to care for the world around us. With World Water Day approaching, it’s the perfect reminder that small, mindful actions can make a real difference. Conscious choices and simple daily habits help us preserve one of our most precious resources while staying connected to our environment.

At Cardo Brussels, we take this commitment seriously. To mark World Water Day on the March 22, we’re introducing a dedicated shower playlist designed to help guests keep track of time and reduce unnecessary water consumption. A gentle, creative way to encourage shorter showers, without compromising on comfort.

As a sustainable and eco-friendly hotel, Cardo combines design, comfort and environmental responsibility, proving that caring for the planet can be as effortless and stylish as enjoying a spring afternoon in Brussels.
